Katimavik Elementary School is an Ottawa-Carleton District School Board elementary public school in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Katimavik is located in suburban Kanata in the Katimavik-Hazeldean neighbourhood. The school opened in 1981 and there have been two expansions, the second in 1984 to accommodate the intermediate students. Katimavik accommodates students from grade 4 to grade 8, because in 2014, students from grades 1-3 were sent to Castlefrank Elementary School. Katimavik offers early French immersion programs to 560 students, as well as an English program to over 100 other students. There is also a GLP class (General learning Program) which hosts 16 students. A few of the clubs hosted at Katimavik include Changing Lives in Kenya, a non-profit organization working with Free The Children to help support families in Kenya (www.theclikteam.weebly.com), The Eco Club (which won the bronze Eco-School award), and the Spirit Committee, in charge of planning and organizing school events such as dances and movie nights. Currently, the school's regular schedule starts at 8:45am and ends at 3:15pm. However, a proposal for the 2015/2016 academic year put forward by the OSTA (Ottawa Student Transportation Authority) may change the school starting time to 9:15am.〔(OSTA Updated Schedule 2014/2015 )〕 ==Notable alumni== *Jenn Hanna, curler 抄文引用元・出典: フリー百科事典『 ウィキペディア(Wikipedia)』 ■ウィキペディアで「Katimavik Elementary School」の詳細全文を読む スポンサード リンク
